RMS Notes and Information

-RMS will be presenting "Seussical Jr." this spring for our school play.  Auditions are next week Wednesday and Thursday.  Make sure your child grabs an audition form from Mrs. Emmerton if they are interested in being part of the show.

-7th Grade Health Screenings will take place on Thursday, March 9.  We are looking for a few volunteers to help with hearing and vision tests, as well as a couple of parents to greet and organize the students.  A medical background is not necessary.  Please click here to sign-up.  Thank you!  Kerry Artman, District Volunteer Coordinator

-7th Grade Science with Ms. Wallis: Two scientists from a consulting firm in Portland, ME and one scientist from CRREL who all work on the TCE spills at CRREL, presented to some of our 7th graders on their investigation to figure out where the TCE went after the spills and how they discovered its movement in the groundwater and as vapor in the soil and the remediation that is being done by CRREL so that it is not going into the Connecticut River and is being treated on site.  They also shared the story of a much earlier spill into the River and where it moved, showing students one of their core samples from the bedrock beneath the river.  We thank the scientists, Scott Calkin, Rod  Rustad, and Darrell Moore for a very interesting presentation!
