Principal's Corner

Dear Parents/Guardians,

I was lucky enough to join one of our 6th grade field trips to the Connecticut River today. We are incredibly fortunate to have opportunities to do place-based learning whether for stream and forest studies, Civil War soldier research, climate data collection, orienteering, or numerous other excursions. We know that time with hands-on learning in nature simply can't be replicated on a screen or even in a classroom. Today's 6th grade trip was made possible by Adina Desaulniers, the Hanover Conservancy, Kendal, and Dr. Robert Christie. Students explored the watershed, collected some data and observations, and enjoyed some stories and writing about the history of the river. The day was enjoyed by students, staff, and volunteers, especially with an appearance of the sun!

Have a great weekend!
Michael Lepene, Principal
