Principal's Corner

Dear Parents/Guardians,

The RMS Jazz Band performed live under the tent at Kendal this afternoon and I was lucky enough to join them. The sound was terrific and our students noticed the smiles, tapping feet, and dancing they inspired. In addition to the great music and solos led by RMS teacher Josh Hall the group showed off their improvisational skills when the bus didn't show up and we ended up walking down the road instruments, music stands, and all. Perhaps the beginnings of a "Marching Band" at RMS!

I'm grateful for our ongoing relationship with our neighbors at Kendal who bring experience, expertise, and friendship to our school community. A thank you to the Kendal connection coordinators Phyllis Fenander (Kendal) and Jodi Bates (RMS) for all of their efforts in partnership this year.

Have a great weekend!

Michael Lepene

-Non Returning Students to the District: As the end of this school year approaches we are already preparing for the 16/17 school year.

So that we may process records accordingly, if your student will not be returning next year, either to RMS or HHS, and will be attending school outside SAU70, we will need written confirmation. Please email Robin Morley-Ploof @ with the following information:

Student’s Name, Current Grade Completed, Name/Address of School Student will be Attending 16/17

Thank you very much and enjoy these last couple of weeks!

-PE/Wellness News: This summer I would like to offer your family a challenge – a 90 day challenge to move and stay active over the summer.  The challenge runs June 1st to August 31st. If you register here you will also receive free admission in most of the state parks in NH.

Regular physical activity is important for your health. In PE we are dedicated to build healthy habits, have an appreciation for exercise and the outdoors and to expose students to a variety of activities. This is a great way to continue that healthy habit all year long.

I registered and hope that you do too! Thanks, Catherine Patch, RMS PE
