8th Grade Class Night Announcement

posted May 10, 2016, 6:22 AM by Michael Lepene

Dear 8th Grade Families,

This letter is to invite you to participate in 8th Grade Class Night and to ask for volunteers for this celebratory event.

The evening is on June 15 from 5:30-7:30 at RMS and will feature student art work, videos of Best of 8th Grade (made by each student) and a culminating ceremony in the gym.  This is a memorable event that acknowledges the work of the students and honors their time spent at RMS.

In order to make this evening really special, we are seeking parent volunteers to bring in food, flowers, table cloths, napkins, as well as help with set-up and clean-up.  Since there is some mingling and movement, easy "grab and go" food like cheese and crackers, fruit/ fruit-cups, muffins, cookies, bagels etc... would be ideal.   RMS will also supply water and cookies.

The students will be organized around their advisory groups which will be spread out on both the seventh and eighth grade floors. We need enough food for 500-600 people (based on last years attendance).  Once we have a list of volunteers and food they will bring, we will follow up with reminders, drop-off time (5:00pm or earlier) and location of the drop-off.

We thank you in advance for your help with this end-of- the-year event.  You can sign up here for volunteering, or contact Andrea Nolon ( or Keri Craft ( with any additional questions.

Thank you,

Andrea Nolon
