+Principal’s Corner

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Thank you to the parents who were able to join us for a parent coffee on Wednesday at RMS. Our topic was generating ideas for parent involvement this year. Some of the ideas that were raised included:

  • Hosting a parent discussion with our Cafeteria Director Ken Thompson.
  • Organizing a "new parent" meeting sometime in September to answer questions that have come up in the first weeks of school.
  • Creating themed meetings periodically throughout the year and varying the time, location, and staff in attendance.
  • Helping to manage the myriad of communications from the school.
  • Connecting talents, experiences, and expertise from our parent community in support of our educational program.

We will get to work planning for some of these opportunities. I am also looking for parents who might be willing to coordinate parent efforts and projects this year. If you are interested in taking this on please let me know!

Please continue to share your ideas as we partner to make RMS a great school for our students.
