+Principal’s Corner

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Welcome to the 2014-2015 school year! It is my pleasure to introduce the first school newsletter of the new year. We have had a productive and enjoyable summer here at RMS. The building is clean, classrooms are being prepped, professional development has been ongoing and our staff is preparing to welcome your children. We hope that you have received our summer mailing packets and postcard. Please contact the school office if you have yet to receive this information. You can also find a variety of information related to the school and new year on our web site.

We greatly appreciate our partnerships with our parents and guardians. Effective schools rely upon the positive collaborative relationships they establish and maintain with all of the stakeholders in their community. To that end, we work to effectively communicate through our newsletters, web resources, social media, open houses, surveys, meetings and informal conversations. In addition, we encourage your volunteering and sharing your talents with the school. We greatly appreciate your completing the volunteer information form included in the summer mailing. Thanks to the efforts of our volunteers we are annually recognized with a NH Blue Ribbon award which recognizes the extraordinary efforts of school volunteer coordinators and their volunteer teams.

The RMS Friday Focus is a weekly newsletter that will be sent through our email alert and posted on our web site. In addition, paper copies are available in the school office. The Friday Focus will include some opening thoughts and reflections from the Principal, a poll question of the week, school news and event coverage, and a community calendar and activities. I welcome your input, suggestions or ideas on how to improve our newsletter.

Last year I wrote up a piece of frequently asked questions and answers with respect to the start of the school year. You can find that information here

I am certain that the 2014-2015 school year will be a positive and successful year for all of our students. Along the way, please feel free to contact your child’s teachers, counselors and administrators. We all look forward to learning alongside our students this year and appreciate your support.

Sincerely,
Michael Lepene
Principal
